Day 60 - May 8

A long and tough gym day. The back squat and leg press took it out of me. The challenge with the squats was getting through sets of six reps. Getting through those sets requires a different kind of mental strength. The distance between rep 4 and 6 seemed twice as long as 1 through 4.

By the end of the workout, I didn't have the same energy as last week to push straight into LeMond starts. I was eager to get both sessions done, but I knew the bike work wouldn't have been good quality.

I enjoyed the lunch break and came back in the afternoon ready. The bike sprints got the attention they deserved.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop and eat.
