Day 33 - April 11
The weekend starts with a 90-minute road ride and three one-minute intervals.
The spring weather has made getting outside easy and pleasant. Only two of us were on the road today. The others are resting and packing for their racing in Hong Kong and Malaysia.
This was my third time running these one-minute intervals, so my body knew what to expect.
“It’s only a minute.” “I’m stronger than last week.” “The pain brings progress.”
The stretch between 0:25 and 0:50 is always a rough place to be. ”I’ve been here before.” Naming it helps make it less scary.
Seeing the patterns helps me face them with less fear. If I’ve done it before, I can do it again.
Where in your work does naming the hard part make it more manageable?
