Day 28 - April 6

Day 28 - April 6

I enjoyed the weekend recovery and came back eager to start the new week.

The last week of hard training before a recovery week.

Mondays usually include my favorite drills: moto chases.

Our coach pushes us up to speed on his motorcycle. One hand on my back, his other hand on the throttle. Then we sprint behind the moto while he accelerates. We easily hit speeds of 70km/h and beyond. It’s exhilarating spinning around the track at those speeds, and it’s excellent training. It takes a certain fearlessness to get right up behind the moto. My confidence in chasing has grown, but there's still more to improve.

I was reminded today how the body’s limits are greater than we know. Often times its the mind the sets our limits though, and not the body, to protect us what what the body could actually handle.

When reaching limits in your pursuit, are you able to distinguish if those are coming the mind or the body?
