Day 04 - March 13

Day 04 - March 13

Today was the clearest day since I arrived, and my first gym session.
My body and mind were ready for the work. My legs felt rested and receptive.
The intent of the session was clear: move through the adjustment, not set a record. The main lifts were back squats and leg presses.

The loads that gave me trouble this time last year moved today with significantly less strain.

Strength training is a must for sprinting.

A common benchmark for elite sprinters is a back squat of two times body weight. This makes the weight room become another arena to be mastered.
Another avenue to stack wins and make progress.

What last year's work built, today's session confirmed.
I chalked up a win in the weight room, and I’m eager for the sessions to come.

What strength have you built lately that only became visible after you'd stopped looking for it?
