Day 25 - April 3

Day 25 - April 3

Nearly the end of the week. The warmer weather helped boost spirits on the commute to the center.

The morning gym session was challenging, but I was ready for it. The highlight was moving up to 150kg on the single leg press.

In the afternoon, I returned to the gym for starts on the Wattbike. This week I fell short of the cadence targets for each effort. The intent and intensity were there, but my legs just couldn't find the speed.

The weight room gave me a high. The Wattbike brought me back down. My coach reminded me of the cumulative fatigue I'd built up over three weeks and that reframe helped.

Three weeks of hard training will cause some performance to fade. I needed reminding of that.

Not every session will be record setting. Keeping the intensity and intent high is what matters. The process will take care of the rest.

Where in your pursuit are you judging a single effort without accounting for everything that came before it?
