Day 15 - March 24

Day 15 - March 24

A clear and sunny day.
Morning gym and afternoon track.

The weights moved quickly and steadily. My legs were activated for the track session.

The focus of the session was rolling starts. Eight full efforts. The mental load was just as real as the physical one. Halfway through the session my body was losing its edge as fatigue settled in. I needed to hook my attention to something carry me through the back half.

I watched some tape from the previous efforts and noticed how unrefined some of my accelerations were. In that moment I felt annoyed, knowing I could do better than what I was watching. The annoyance gave me something useful. I had a clear target to for the final sprints.

Each sprint is a chance to improve, but having a clear intent is a prerequisite.

What would your next effort look like if you had a clearer target going into it?
